Jury selection began today for Blaze Taylor, the former Tennessee Titan scout accused of murdering his girlfriend Jade Benning in 2023 with a large amount of cocaine. She was five months pregnant with a girl at the time. He was arrested nearly a year after Benning died and charged with two counts of MUR. At a bond hearing in 2024, Benning's best friend testified that she heard Benning say to Taylor while they were on the phone that her drink tasted funny. She said she couldn't walk straight and said to Taylor, you did this to do something to the baby. Taylor was released on two and a half million dollars bond.
