Senate confirmation for acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to take that job permanently now more likely to Republican Senators Cornyn of Texas and Tillis of North Carolina had been threatening to block his confirmation but now say they will vote for it. Over the weekend, Blanche rescinding plans for a $1.8 billion anti weaponization fund to compensate people who'd believed they'd been prosecuted unfairly by the Biden Justice Department. Lighter winds and lower temperatures fore in Washington state today. That may help in the fight against several raging wildfires.

He's campaigned against Israel's government and supports abolishing ICE and Medicare for all. Al Said's opponent Congresswoman Haley Stevens has the support of the party Estab, campaigning this weekend with South Carolina Representative Jim Clyburn. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has endorsed her. Stevens says she has the better chance of defeating the presumptive Republican nominee, former Congressman Mike Rogers, in November.
