President Trump calls El Sayed's victory great news for the Republican Party and labeled him a communist loser who hates Jews and Israel. Also In Michigan, the AP calls the race for a Democrat, Dominic Donovan McKinney in the primary for a US House and for progressive William Lawrence in another house primary. The U.S. and Iran could work out a deal today. That's President Trump's optimistic assessment of talks to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to oil and shipping and also continuing to press Tehran to give up its nuclear program.

And this some analysts estimate that the US has used more than half of its stockpiles in key certain munitions in that conflict. Four men between the ages of 34 and 52 were stabbed early afternoon local time in the busy Covent Garden area of central London. They were all taken to the hospital for treatment. Two have already been discharged. The others have non life threatening injuries. Police have arrested a 47 year old woman on suspicion of assault and possessing an offensive weapon. They say early indications are it was an isolated mental health related incident. The attack happened on Endell street about a quarter of a mile from the famous Covent Garden market. Republican Congressman Chuck Edwards of North Carolina announced on X this morning he is ending his bid for re election.

Edwards decision comes after a House ethics panel found substantial evidence. In their words, the congressman harassed female staffers. North Carolina's primary date has passed and the GOP is now expected to pick a nominee quickly to face Democratic nominee Jamie Ager. The district is made up of the city of Asheville and surrounding counties in the western part of the state. Eben Brown, FOX News.

The Gordie Howe Bridge between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, is now open to pedestrians. Fox's Jeff Manassa reports.

There's been a hum of motor vehicles across the 1.5 mile span for about a week now. The Gordie Howe Bridge's multi use path is open to walkers and bikers that lined up to be the first to cross over the Detroit river between Michigan and Ontario. An official bridge grand opening was held late last month without the Americans in protest of the Trump administration's threats of new tariffs on Canadian goods. Jeff Manasso, fox news.
