North Carolina's governor warning coastal residents to prepare for some impacts from Hurricane Aaron and especially those under evacuation orders.

Hurricane Erin will not make landfall, but its offshore path is still close to North Carolina's Outer Banks. Governor Josh Stein says impacts will be felt over the next day or so. We are anticipating coastal flooding from massive waves, tropical storm force winds and tidal and storm surge for much of the state. Shoreline evacuations are already called for some of those areas, especially Dare County, North Carolina. Emergency response teams are being staged, including swift water, water rescue and helicopters to transport food and water to damage zones, though people are encouraged to gather water, food, medicine and important documents for their families.
