Texas Chad Pergram on Capitol Hill. In a letter to Senate colleagues, Schumer says he and the House minority leader are aligned on shared priorities. They're asking for a meeting with the House speaker and Senate Majority leader. Chicago Police just confirming 58 people shot over the holiday weekend, including eight people killed as president. Trump posts that Chicago will be safe again, calling it the worst and most dangerous city in the world. Also writing that the Illinois governor needs help but just doesn't know it yet. The mayor also resisting a possible Trump crackdown like in D.C. where the National Guard has been used.

President Trump is set to announce the U.S. space Command headquarters will be moved to Alabama, reversing a Biden administration decision.

Space Command has been based in Colorado Springs, Colorado but in 2021, an Air Force review identified Army Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama as the preferred location. Then President Biden in 2023 announced Colorado would be the permanent home of Space Command. To avoid disruption in readiness, Alabama lawmakers have long sought Space Command. The Army Space and Missile Defense Command is in the state along with NASA's Space Flight Center.

Fox's Jared Halpern at the White House Two storms are gaining strength in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Forecasters say Lorena has just formed a tropical storm about 240 miles west of the Mexican coast. It could reach hurricane strength by tomorrow. Also, a storm has intensified into Hurricane Kiko. That one poses no immediate threat to land. There's an IndyCar shakeup Power is out.

Not Penske material anymore Formula One driver Will Power, who won two championships for Roger Penske's IndyCar Racing team and the Indianapolis 500 in 2018, will not return to Team Penske for an 18th season next year. An official announcement was made Tuesday. It was expected and came two days after the season finale at Nashville Superspeedway. Will Power's contract expiring With Team PENSKE Approaching his 45th birthday, Power faced questions all season about the possibility of getting replaced by 23 year old driver David Melucas. In 17 seasons racing for Roger Penske, Will Power won 41 times. He is IndyCar's all time pole winner with 71.
