It was Sunday around 10:30am when officials say the shooter drove his pickup truck right through those front doors of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Grand Blank, Michigan, and started shooting at those worshippers with an assault rifle. He then lit the church on fire and burned it down.

Fox's Brooke Taylor in Grand Blank. The suspect killed in a shootout with Police was a 40 year old Marine veteran who had deployed to Iraq.

He specialized in handling military vehicle equipment. He also had a wife and son with a rare genetic disorder. Officials say there's no apparent connection between him and the church. The FBI is leading this investigation. They're carrying out those search warrants and digging through the shooter's phone records to try to find a motive here.

At least four people were killed. The suspect in Saturday is deadly mass shooting at a waterfront bar in North Carolina due in court two hours from now. That attack left three dead, five others injured with the shooter firing from his boat. America is listening to FOX news.
