They sued as a class action. Live Nation argued that any legal fight should go to mass arbitration, even for a class action group through a company that offers the service called New Era ADR. The 9th Circuit ruled New Era's terms are so dense, convoluted and internally contrary, they're borderline unintelligible. Ticketmaster argued that failing to force this into arbitration could have put that whole legal process at risk. So the Supreme Court's decision not to hear this means the case will continue through the federal court system.
