Public records revealed the woman found dead near a shopping center is Carrie Elizabeth Romney, the sister in law of Mitt Romney. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department found the 64 year old on the street by a parking garage in Santa Clarita, listing her date of death as last Friday. The cause of death is still under investigation. Mitt Romney served as governor of Massachusetts, the senator from Utah, between 2019 and 2025 and was the GOP presidential nominee in 2012.
