The New York Times was the first to report Obama's phone call to New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zorra Mamdani. The outlet says Obama praised Mamdani's campaign and offered to be a sounding board in the future. Mamdani's campaign spokesperson telling Fox, quote, zoran Mamdani appreciated President Obama's words of support and their conversation on the importance of bringing a new kind of politics to our city, Fox says.

This series was about as close as you can get. Not only did it go seven games, but in that seventh game it went extra innings. So the Dodgers win it and they are now two times in a row world champion, something that hasn't been done in the past 25 years. Some of those Dodgers players are saying this is really the fulfillment of a dream many of them had since they were kids. For the Blue Jays, this has been a real tough pill to swallow. They basically overachieved all year. They were underdogs. But to come so close, just two outs away from winning, their manager says this is going to take some time to process.
