That announcement coming down Sunday said they're looking into whether he's being honest about renovations on Fed headquarters. In Washington, Fox's Jill Nadeau with more.

President Trump has often demanded Fed Chair Jerome Powell lower interest rates, saying it'll pump up the US Economy. But Powell didn't do it right away. Trump due to concerns it could spur inflation. All this happened as the Fed headquarters were getting renovated. Powell testified to Congress about that. And now the DOJ is looking into whether he was forthcoming in that testimony. Powell put out a video saying the investigation's really being done because he angered the president.
