Iran does not want to continue talks with the United States that according to Iran's security chief, it was also an advisor to Iran's former supreme leader. Tehran will not negotiate with the US following the U. S Israeli strikes on the Islamic republic this weekend. The Iran security chief Ali Larajani making that announcement on X today Monday in response to a report that Iran is trying to revive talks with Washington, the US And Israel continuing to pound Iran, dropping massive bombs on the country's ballistic sites and warships. President Trump on truth social threatening further strikes to avenge the deaths of three American troops and the wounding of five others this weekend.

The Senate's going to be hearing from War Department Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and others at 3:30pm Eastern Time Tuesday. The House will be getting briefed at about 5. The briefings come as several lawmakers consider a war powers resolution that would restrain President Trump's attack on Iran. Both the House and Senate had already drafted resolutions long before the strike Saturday. Under the War powers Act of 1973, the president's supposed to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops. Then it requires their withdrawal within 60 to 90 days unless Congress approves an extension.

Jill NAITO, FOX NEWS U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran rattling global markets, sending oil prices higher, shares sharply lower, including a 2% drop on the Nikkei amid fears of supp disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz. Austin authorities saying at least three people were killed, 14 others injured after a shooting outside a bar on Sunday morning. FBI San Antonio field office acting Special Agent in Charge Alex Doran saying the shooting could have been an act of terrorism.

Obviously, it's still way too early in the process to determine an exact motivation, but there were indicators that on the subject and in his vehicle that indicate potential nexus to terrorism.

Three of those hospitalized are in critical condition. Police also said the male shooter was shot and killed by officers and thousands of supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro rallying across Brazil Sunday. Dressed in the nation's yellow and green, they voiced opposition to President Lula da Silva ahead of October's election. Bolsonaro, currently imprisoned after a failed coup attempt, remains a symbol for supporters who say the race could mark a decisive turning point for the country. I'm Ted Lindner. This is FOX News.
