Election day 2025 is here. I'm Ted Lindner, Fox News, New York City. They'll be heading to the polls on Tuesday to select the big apples next mayor. President Trump not on board with the front runner in the race, Democrat Zoram Hamdani.
Donald Trump
If you have a communist running New York, all you're doing is wasting the money you're sending there. So I don't know that he's one and I'm not a fan of Cuomo one way or the other. But if it's going to be between a bad Democrat and a Communist, I'm going to pick the bad Democrat all the time.

The president on CBS, 60 Minutes Sunday, Mumdani walking across the Brooklyn Bridge on Monday morning and march to City Hall.
Andrew Cuomo
You know, we have long known that Andrew Cuomo is Donald Trump's puppet in this race. What we did not quite expect is for him to become his parrot in the final days as well.
Ted Lindner
Former New York governor independent candidate Andrew Cuomo rallying supporters in upper Manhattan Monday saying the momentum is shifting away from Hamdani and is now on his side.
Andrew Cuomo
You feel it all across the city.
Glenn Youngkin
And we're going to win.
Andrew Cuomo
We're going to win tomorrow and we're going to make a better city than ever before.
Ted Lindner
Republican Curtis Sliwa is also still in the race, trailing well behind.
Andrew Cuomo
I trust people. I don't trust politicians, I don't trust billionaires and I don't trust the insiders. So that's my final words and I end my campaign as I began my campaign and spent every day of my campaign with the people of New York City on the subway.
Ted Lindner
Meantime, in a tele town hall hosted by President Trump in support of Virginia Republicans, Governor Glenn Youngkin warning that nothing good can come if Democrat candidate Abigail Spamberger wins the election to succeed him.
Glenn Youngkin
She wants to kill jobs. We've had record job creation. She wants to raise taxes. And we've had $9 billion of tax relief. Your electric bill is going to go up an extraordinary amount. We've been fighting to try to keep them down. Crime will go up.
Ted Lindner
President Trump did not endorse Lt. Governor Winsome Earl Sears, the Republican candidate for the state's highest office. America's listening to Fox.

The government shutdown entering its 35th day Tuesday. That sets a new record. Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson urging Democrats to vote for his party's clean bill.
Glenn Youngkin
The easy way to end this is just to vote for that continuing resolution. And then if they do that, I am more than happy to sit down Democrats and figure out how to repair the damage done by Obamacare and transition to a system that actually works.

Fox's Ryan schmelz has more 35 days.

Ties the record for longest government shutdown in US history Congress has been unable to come to an agreement on reopening the government as Democrats remain firm on demanding the Affordable Care act premium tax credits be included as part of a deal. The other longest government shutdown happened during President Trump's first term, from December 22nd of 2018 to January 25th of 2019. That impasse was mostly over border wall funding. President Trump is encouraging Republicans to end the Senate filibuster in order to pass a stopgap measure to reopen the government. On Capitol Hill, Ryan Schmelz, Fox News.

And federal workers of the nation's airports now officially going without pay due to the shutdown.
Eben Brown
The first paycheck has been missed for employees of both the Transportation Security administration and the FAA's air traffic organization. But both TSA agents and air traffic controllers are considered to be essential workers and they are not permitted to stop working despite a freeze in federal payrolls due to the ongoing US government shutdown. Airlines like United, Delta and JetBlue have been donating me to affected federal employees. Workers from either agency are able to call out sick, and there have been reports of unfilled shifts causing delays at various airports.
