House Democratic leaders are actively whipping against a Senate deal to reopen the government, although some moderates could cross party lines and join Republicans. Democrats are still reeling over the Senate's failure to secure an extension of the Affordable Care act tax credits that expire at the end of the year. Rank and file pointing the finger at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer while the House minority leader pushes back. But the chorus of calls for Schumer to resign continues to grow in and outside of Washington. Progressive group MoveOn piling on, saying over 80% of MoveOn members believe Schumer is failing to lead opposition against Trump.

Congressional Democrats continue to push for an extension of health care subsidies, aiming to avoid a spike in insurance premiums for Americans. The Trump administration get an extended pause on paying out full SNAP benefits for the month.

The Supreme Court extending until Thursday night a pause of a judge's order requiring the Department of Agriculture to pay full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits for November. The move allows the Trump administration to continue withholding roughly $4 billion from the program. A number of states had sued over the agency's attempt to roll back issuing the benefits, arguing it's illegal and risks more than 41 million Americans in need going hungry. A court siding with states. But the USDA asked for and was granted a temporary stay of the lower court ruling Friday. The House is expected to vote Wednesday on a Senate approved funding measure that aims to reopen the government with funds to replenish SNAP benefits. Kristen Goodwin, FOX News.

Democrats have a dire warning as House Republicans appear poised to reopen the government without extending Obamacare subsidies. As the shutdown continued Tuesday, Air Travelers face some more frustration as US Airports need to meet a higher FAA target for reducing flights despite a light at the end of the tunnel with the government shutdown. Fox's Steve Harrigan with more it really.

Doesn'T look like the world's busiest airport because of so many cancellations. A lot of people have been warned and are staying home. The numbers are bad and they're going to get worse. It's going to go up to 10% of all flights on Friday due to the shortage of air traffic controllers. It is creating a lot of angry travelers.

It's Major League Baseball awards season Tuesday. The best managers in each league were honored.

Pat Murphy of the brewers has won his second straight NL Manager of the Year award while Stephen Vogt of the Guardians repeated for the AL honor. Murphy led Milwaukee to 97 wins during the 2025 season, the most in franchise history before the brewers lost to the eventual World Series champion Dodgers in the nlcs. One year after reaching the alcs, Cleveland won the AL Central thanks to an incredible late season surge. The Guardians trailed the Tigers by 15 and a half games in early July before winning the division title on the final day of the season. It was the largest in season comeback in Major League Baseball history.

Joe Morgan, Fox News An Arizona congresswoman elect Adelita Grijalva is expected to be sworn in Wednesday. She won the seat seven weeks ago, but her House speaker, Mike Johnson, has delayed her swearing in because of the government shutdown. I'm Ted Lindner and this is Fox News.
