A 29 year old afghan national being charged with murder after the shooting in Washington, D.C. killing one national Guard troop and leaving another in critical condition on Wednesday. This attack is being investigated as an act of terrorism. Fox's Christina Coleman has more from Los Angeles.

Walkenwell previously served in one of Afghanistan's elite counterterrorism units operated by the CIA with direct U.S. intelligence and military military support. DHS says Lockenwell is one of the many Afghan nationals who were mass paroled into the US Under Operation Allies welcome under the Biden administration in September of 2021. Following the fall of Kabul. Authorities say Lockenwell settled in Bellingham, Washington and lived there with his wife and five children. He was granted asylum back in April. Now questions are swirling as to whether he was properly vetted over the years.

The Trump administration has already built up a dozen warships in the Caribbean, thousands of troops. Since early September, there have been over 20 airstrikes on alleged drug boats. 82 individuals have been killed in those and the president saying yesterday that because of those strikes, some former maritime drug traffickers have diverted to land routes, which is exactly where this confrontation is now set to head. On Monday, the US Designated the Venezuelan government led by President Nicolas Maduro, a foreign terrorist organization. Under Maduro's leadership, Venezuela has fallen into economic despair. In a speech, Maduro urged his military to remain on high alert.

A recent CBS YouGov poll found 70% of Americans oppose military action in Venezuela. It's Black Friday. Analysts expect this holiday shopping season to be one of the busiest shopping seasons ever.

People were outside in 30 degree weather for hours just to get those discounts. Some shoppers said that the chaos is all part of the tradition. Thanksgiving weekend is expected to break shopping records this year, starting off with Black Friday. The National Retail federation says nearly 187 million people plan to shop between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, which is up from last year. And the retail group says this is the time of the year when shoppers actually prefer to show up in person, just like the good old days.
