The BBC did issue an apology, but the president doesn't think an apology is enough. After the network stitched together parts of his January 6 speech, the BBC admitting it gave, quote, the mistaken impression that President President Trump had made a direct call for violent action when in reality those lines were delivered almost an hour apart. And the BBC clip left out Trump telling supporters protest peacefully while the BBC apologized. They're still refusing to pay compensation, writing, quote, while the BBC sincerely regrets the manner in which the video clip was edited, we strongly disagree. There is a basis for a defamation claim. Now the president says he plans to talk to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer about it this weekend.

With the Department of Veterans affairs and Agriculture now funded, the Senate could look at bills next week to fund the military and the Departments of Education, Commerce, Labor, Housing and Urban Development and others.
