The man accused of shooting two West Virginia National Guard members in D.C. yesterday was allowed into the U.S. under that program, then granted asylum under the Trump administration.

Officials have identified the suspect as 29 year old Ramanullah Lockanwal. He's facing three counts of assault with intent to kill while armed. He will also be charged with possession of a firearm during a crime of violence if the guard members pass from their injuries. The U.S. attorney for D.C. jenny Pirro says the suspect will be charged with murder in the first degree.
