U.S. district Judge Charles Breyer says the federal government retains control of 300 guardsmen despite no evidence federal law is impeded in any way. Still, Breyer put his decision on hold until Monday to al allow for a likely appeal from the Trump administration. Justice Department attorneys say the deployment is still needed in LA to protect federal personnel and property following anti ICE protests in the city.
