Preliminary injunction requires the Trump administration to return control of the California National Guard to the state and end a deployment that began in June. U.S. district Judge Charles Breyer says the federal government retains control of 300 guardsmen despite no evidence federal law is impeded in any way. Still, Breyer put his decision on hold until Monday to al allow for a likely appeal from the Trump administration.
