A brief first appearance in court on Lisa Brady Fox News. Nick Reiner, the son of director Rob Reiner charged with killing both of his parents, just making his first court appearance wearing a suicide prevention vest. The judge blocking the media from filming him at the request of defense attorney Alan Jackson, who also requested that the arraignment be pushed to January 7. The judge also granting that after asking Reiner if he was agreeing to waive his right to a speedy arraignment. Jackson just telling reporters outside the courthouse there are serious issues associated with the case. Things need to be thoroughly but very carefully dealt with and examined and looked at and analyzed. He says the family deserves due process, not a rush to judgment. Reiner, who's 32, has a long history of addiction related struggles. He's charged with first degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted. Police in Providence just confirming they're now looking for a second person in connection with the deadly mass shooting at Brown University. Releasing surveillance footage of this second person in proximity to a person of interest. Two students were killed, nine injured during a final exam review session over the weekend on Capitol Hill. Former special counsel Jack Smith, who led prosecutions of then candidate Trump, is behind closed doors with the House Judiciary Committee. His attorney Lanny Brewer telling reporters in.

The Whitehall, Ohio, City Council votes 5 to 1 to expel Gerald Dixon. But it had to be unanimous, and one member said he felt the process was being rushed. So Dixon keeps his seat. He was arrested last week charged with felony gross sexual imposition and felony prostitution of a minor. There could be more charges coming. At least eight victims have come forward. The police chief says cases could go back nearly 30 years. Dixon was at the meeting but didn't get a vote on whether he would keep his seat. He denies the accusations and says no to demands he stepped down. He was first elected to the council in 2021. Police say they found journals where Dixon wrote about struggling with a sexual attraction toward pubescent boys. Chris Foster, FOX News.

Warner Brothers discovery is telling shareholders to reject an unsolicited takeover bid from Paramount Skydance, saying an offer from Netflix would be better for them and for customers. In a letter to shareholders today, Warner's board calls Paramount's inferior, adding that it carries significant risks and costs, in large part because it relies heavily on borrowed money.
