Oil Military forces are being told to focus on a quarantine of Venezuelan oil for the next two months minimum. That, according to Reuters, citing a US Official, says the Trump administration is more interested in using economic pressure as opposed to military force, though military options remain on the table. President Trump continued his pressure campaign this week on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, saying it would be smart for him to leave office while continuing military strikes on alleged cartel boats in the Caribbean. California bracing for yet another storm on this Christmas day after getting hit with several inches of rain over the past two days.

There have been reports of three storm related deaths, including a 60 man in San Diego who was hit by a falling tree Wednesday morning. Fire crews affected several rescues in and around Los Angeles, including a man who was trapped in an RV in Sunland. He had to be lifted out of a creek by a helicopter. Southern California Rainfall totals in the last two days have varied from just over two and a half inches downtown to more than five inches in the San Fernando Valley. That's in the northern part of the city of LA, all the way up to over 12 inches of the San Gabriel Dam in the mountains northeast of Pasadena. Jessica Rosenthal, FOX News.

Australia's prime minister looking to give bravery awards to people who confronted a pair of jihadist gunmen who killed 15 people at a Hanukkah gathering on a Sydney beach.

Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese plans to give awards for bravery to both first responders and civilians who rushed towards the gunfire, even fighting with the gunman during the Hanukkah jihadist attack at Bondi Beach. Fifteen people, including a child and two rabbis were killed by those gunmen. One such civilian named Ahmed Al Ahmed, was seen on video rest wrestling away a rifle from one gunman only to be shot and wounded himself. Albanese has come under heavy criticism for growing anti Semitic sentiment in Australia and for formally recognizing a Palestinian state after the October 7 attacks. Eben Brown, FOX News.

New numbers say the nationwide US murder rate fell dramatically in 2025 and what's likely the biggest single year drop ever recorded killings in the US plunged by nearly 20% compared to last year. That was following a Covid era spike in violence. According Real Time Crime Index, there were a bit over 5,900 murders recorded in the US between January and October of this year compared to about 7,300 during the same time period in 2024.
