New military action in the Strait. I'm Sue Guzman, Fox News. U.S. central Command says the U.S. has fired on an Iranian oil tanker that tried to sail past the US Navy blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. The military says a fighter jet shot out the rudder of the tanker Wednesday in the Gulf of Oman. This comes as President Trump is signaling progress in talks with Iran to end the conflict. As we hear from fox's Ashley Webster,

it feels like we've been down this road before, maybe more than. But President Trump seems to believe that Iran can be taken to the negotiating table and a deal can be done. They want to make a deal. We've had very good talks over the last 24 hours. Earlier in the day, the president sounded a whole lot more pessimistic, saying that if an agreement doesn't come soon, the US Will resume bombing. But the focus now is on a one page memorandum that would formally end the conflict and provide a framework for further discussions.

And on Tuesday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the American military campaign against Iran had concluded and that the US had achieved its objectives. A court document containing what is believed to have been a suicide note written by Jeffrey Epstein is unsealed by a judge.

The note, believed to have been written as Epstein sat in a Manhattan jail cell awaiting trial, expressed his belief that investigators had no evidence of alleged sex crimes he faced. Part of it read, they investigated me for months, found not. The note also contained the sentence time to say goodbye, which could be interpreted as an intent to commit suicide. The New York Times reported the writing was found in July 2019 after an apparent attempt to end his life. That Epstein survived. That was July 23. Epstein was found unresponsive Aug. 10 and later pronounced dead.

At least three people are dead, five others infected after a hantavirus outbreak aboard a cruise ship.

The Dutch flagged MV Hondius carrying some 150 passengers and crew, including 17Americans. And the dangerous hantavirus met a new theory of how it got on board. Argentine officials reportedly looking at the possibility a Dutch couple contracted the virus before getting on the ship while bird watching at a landfill full of rodents. Exposure to rodent dropping can transmit the disease.

The state senator Louise Lucas arrived at her office as the raids were being conducted. She told Fox News she had no idea why the feds were there. But we do know that agents executed multiple court authorized criminal search warrants both at her office in Portsmouth and at a nearby cannabis dispensary owned by Lucas. Lucas is a powerful Virginia Democratic lawmaker and she's a key ally of the state's governor, Abigail Spanberger. The raid's putting more pressure on Spanberger, who's already facing tumbling polling numbers as many critics accuse her of trying to force down a far left agenda on the once proud purple Commonwealth of Virginia.

This is not the first time that state Senator Lucas has had a run in with the law. Her dispensary has been investigated for allegedly selling products with THC levels exceeding the legal limit. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is improving. His spokesman Ted Goodman saying on Instagram that the 81 year old Giuliani is out of the ICU and will be spending some time recovering before leaving the hospital. The mayor and his family, he says, appreciate the outpouring of love and prayer sent his way. It goes on to say the power prayer is working. The mayor feels it. We feel it. Please keep them coming. Giuliani was hospitalized in Florida over the weekend suffering from pneumonia. I'm Sue Guzman. This is FOX News.
