After a two year investigation, U.S. attorney for D.C. jeanine Pirro announces the indictment of 11 people on charges of operating a huge international drug operation. This was a sophisticated transnational network run by well educated individuals with MBAs and college degrees. They wanted to start a drug empire. Hero says the drug ring stretching from South Korea and Los Angeles to the east coast, has been funneling methamphetamine and GBL, a date rape precursor, into D.C. and other cities. Carmen Roberts, FOX News. South Korean authorities arrested five people, including a woman they say was distributing GBL worldwide. At least three people were injured in a shooting at a Publix grocery store in Somerville, South Carolina. Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis described the victim's injuries.
