Law enforcement in Montgomery County, Texas, say a shooting suspect in the New Caney area is in custody and the shooting scene is now secure. Two people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. New Caney District Attorney Michali spoke to the press, sending a message to the people of New Caney and the next steps in this investigation.

The suspect, a 60 year old man, surrendered to officers an hour after the incident began. Officials say at least one victim was the suspect's neighbor. Police say preliminarily, they believe that some sort of a disturbance between the two led up to the shooting.
