Carmelo Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for stabbing Austin Metcalfe last year. Men charged with the political assassinations of the Minnesota House speaker and her husband will not be facing the death penalty.

Federal prosecutors made that announcement Wednesday as part of a plea agreement with Vance Bolter, who who's also charged with the attempted murders of a state senator and his wife. Former state House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and state Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette Hoffman, were shot in their homes last June. The Hoffman survived. Prosecutors say Bolter was disguised as a cop and driving a fake squad car. He was captured near his home in rural Green Isle the next day. Bolter also faces state murder charges. The more than 880,000 vehicles under recall were built between 2014 and 2023 and sold in 22 states and D.C. honda estimates only about 1% of the recalls have the defect and says dealers will inspect and fix the problem for free.
