say they are still searching for a Peruvian man in the US Illegally who allegedly tried to run over an ICE agent with his car Monday morning.
ICE Spokesperson
ICE identified the driver as an illegal alien from Peru who was released into the US under the Biden administration. He was given a final order of removal by an immigration judge in January. ICE says he refused to pull over during the traffic stop and instead weaponized his vehicle and struck an officer with his van. That agent opened fire and at least one bullet hit the vehicle, but the suspect still got away. The ICE agent who was hit was taken to a hospital to be treated. They're expected to be okay now. This case adds to the 3,300% increase in vehicle attacks against law enforcement officers, according to an ICE spokesperson.
