The U.S. military launching new additional strikes on Iranian sites around the Strait of Hormuz. Officials say it's in response to continued Iranian aggression. The strikes targeted Iran's air defenses, drone storage facilities, cruise missiles targeting radars, mine laying capabilities and surface to air missile systems. And sirens are sounding in Bahrain and Kuwait in what appears to be a retaliatory attack by Iran. The latest fighting is further straining an already fragile ceasefire and long term peace talks. The escalation began on Thursday when Tehran attacked a cargo ship with a drone in the Vida Waterway. The US Responded with airstrikes on western Iran. Iran retaliated by targeting a US Base in Bahrain.

US Forces in Bahrain shot down nine Iranian drones fired at US Forces there. No injuries reported. Israel and Lebanon signing a framework agreement for peace which Hezbollah's leader is rejecting.

One of the biggest sticking points surrounding a long term U S Iran deal is the ongoing conflict involving Israeli forces and the Iranian backed militant group Hezbollah. Israel and Lebanon just signed a deal that would see the IDF pull their troops out of two areas in southern Lebanon. The idea is for Lebanese soldiers to take control over areas currently being held by Israel.

They believe that they actually own Lebanon, but Lebanon belongs to the Lebanese people, not to the Iranian people. So it is about time that Lebanon will gain independence and will assume full control of their territory.
