These talks continue. I'm Sue Guzman. Fox News President Trump meeting with Ukraine's President Zelensky today at the White House after meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin last week. Fox's Jill Nadeau with a look at some of the weekend reaction to the summit.

Feelings about the president's meeting with Putin appear to be divided down party lines. Republican Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri told Fox just getting Putin to talk about negotiations was an accomplishment.

Fox News President Trump on Truth Social responding to the criticism, arguing he did not suffer what was described as a major defeat in his meeting with Putin in the US as had been reported by some media outlets. Commenting on Truth Social, he also said Ukraine can end the war immediately by dropping demands to join NATO and abandoning plans to try and reclaim Crimea. Hurricane Aaron continues on its path through the Atlantic. It's picked up steam now a category four storm with a hundredth thirty mile an hour winds. Fox's Ashley Strawmeyer.

Hurricane Aaron continues to lash the Caribbean with damaging winds and heavy rain. Right now the powerful Category 3 storm is packing 125 mile per hour winds and is just east of Turks and Caicos. Erin's outer bands have already knocked out power to nearly 150,000 people in Puerto Rico. And while it's not forecast to make landfall, the storm is expected to double or even triple in size. That could bring life threatening surf and rip currents to the east coast by midweek.

The search continues for suspects in a deadly shooting at a Brooklyn nightclub.

Investigators say at least four people opened fire at the Brooklyn Lounge and what they believe is a gang related shooting. Community crisis management teams have now been dispatched to escalate tensions among gangs. The shooting is a reminder of a key issue for voters and the upcoming mayoral election, which is less than three months out. Zoram Mamdani, who has walked back his previous comments on defunding the police prai to first responders this morning and then later today doubled down on his campaign promise to bring violence interrupters to New Yorkers through a new city agency he wants to create. And Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa wrote in part, quote, I'm the only candidate with the courage to restore law and order in New York City.
