He said that he was concerned that Menendez admitted to killing his mother even though she was apparently a victim of domestic violence, just like Hina's brother Lawrence, Lyle said they were. Barton told Menendez he was not a model prisoner, listing his prison violations, including inappropriate behavior with visitors, drug smuggling and helping other inmates commit tax fraud. The center for Biological Diversity, one of the plaintiffs in this case stating this brutal detention center was burning a hole in the fabric of life that supports our most iconic wetland and a whole host of endangered species, from majestic Florida panthers to wizened wood storks. The judge's order came just in time to stop it all from unraveling.

We've been seeing photos and videos coming in from Hatteras Island. That's where those mandatory evacuations were, so we can't get in there. I took a drive to see the closest I could get to some of those towns. Essentially there's a bridge and one way in and one way out and there are police officers blocking that off and they have been for over 24 hours now because of ocean overwash. So water and sand has ended up just covering that road and it's been too dangerous. It's been impassable. So crews have been working to try to clear that and some people who haven't left that area are essentially stranded and have been for about a day now.
