Said a subject was in custody but has since been released after an interrogation by law enforcement. Kirk was about 20 minutes into a speech as part of Turning Point USA's the American Comeback tour on the campus of Utah Valley University. He was taking questions when a single gunshot rang out, striking Kirk in the neck. There was around 3,000 people in attendance at the time and a handful of officers. Kirk was speaking under a tent at the time of the shooting. Authorities say the gunman fired the shot from a distance on campus. Authorities say the shooter is believed to have fired that gunshot from the roof of a building into the student courtyard.

President Trump has reportedly halted the deportation of hundreds of South Korean workers taken into custody at an immigration enforcement raid at the Hyundai LJ battery plant in Georgia. The Financial Times reporting he's allowing them to remain in the country so they can train Americans. US Authorities have said some of the detained workers crossed the border illegally. Others were here on expired visas. Newly leaked audio giving insight into the suspect charged with leaking a deadly stabbing on a train in North Carolina, crime that captivated the nation. Even though he said he had an injury on his hand, he blamed something inside of him that he says just took over. Decarlos Brown Jr. Has been charged with murder here. He has a lengthy rap sheet, this guy. He's been in and out of prison at least 14. Prior arrests here. Less than a month before this murder, Brown was supposed to have a mental health exam, but according to court documents, it never happened. Local leaders say just highlights a revolving door.

President Trump calling for the man to receive the death penalty. Shooting at a suburban Denver high school, leaving two students critically wounded. That shooting taking place about 12:30pm Wednesday at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, about 30 miles west of Denver. Police say the male student who carried out the shooting died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. He's not been identified and there's no word on a motive. Oracle co founder Larry Ellison has taken the title of the world's richest man from longtime holder Elon Musk. That's according to Wealth Tracker Bloomberg. Ellison, who's 81, is now worth $393 billion, several billion more than Musk. Meanwhile, Forbes still has Musk as the richest man, valuing his private businesses a lot higher than that.
