An appeals court has ruled Lisa Cook can remain the Federal Reserve governor for now, rebuffing President Trump's efforts to remove her just ahead of a key vote on interest rates. The Trump administration expected to quickly turn to the Supreme Court in a last ditch bid to unsee Cook before the Fed meets. Trump says Cook was fired for cause since she's under investigation for alleged mortgage fraud. Meantime, the Senate has approved White House economist Stephen Myron to serve on the Federal Reserve Board. President Trump announcing Monday the US Military shot down a second vote allegedly carrying drugs from Venezuela. He tells reporters from the Oval Office that there's proof that the craft was carrying narcotics spattered all over the ocean.
