FBI sources tell Fox it's talking to people on the Discord gaming platform where the FBI says the alleged assassin may have been communicating with more than 20 people prior to his arrest. I spoke with the sheriff of Washington county, the man who facilitated the surrender of Kirk's alleged killer. The sheriff says his friend, a retired law enforcement officer, called him last Thursday night after learning who the alleged killer is. Then, as police were closing in on the alleged assassin, he wanted to kill himself, but his parents talked him out of it.
