President Trump taking to Truth Social to say on his orders, US Forces carried out a strike targeting a ship affiliated with a designated terrorist organization found to be trafficking illicit narcotics, killing at least three men on board. The president not sharing specific details about the exact location, but posting the lethal kinetic strike took place in the U.S. southern Command Command's area of responsibility, a region that encompasses south and Central America and the Caribbean. The president went on to say no U.S. forces were harmed. Earlier this week, he announced a U.S. strike on a boat allegedly carrying drugs from Venezuela, killing three on board. The house passing a resolution on Friday to pay tribute to Charlie Kirk despite pushback from some Democrats. Fox's Chad Pergrim reports from Capitol Hill.

310 House members paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, But a staggering 55% of House Democrats failed to support the resolution. 58 Democrats voted no, 38 voted present, and 22 skipped the vote altogether. New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio Cortez called the assassination of Kirk horrific and vile, but still voted nay.

Congresswoman Ocasio Cortez cited Kirk's claim that the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights act was a huge mistake as the reason for her no vote. The prosecution has rested its case against Ryan Ruth, the man accused of plotting to assassinate President Trump last year at his West Palm beach golf course.

The prosecution's 38th and final witness, Kimberly McGreevey, was on the stand all day, providing details about Ryan Routh's movements and purchases ahead of September 15, 2024, specifically in and around Florida. Using cell phone and surveillance footage data, as well as receipts. She read from his handwritten note that he'd left in North Carolina, in which he wrote, this was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump, but I'm so sorry I failed you. He goes on to offer money to someone who would be successful. She also testified Ruth tried to pay someone to track the president's plan plane, asking someone on WhatsApp for a daily update. Ruth, who's representing himself, will begin presenting his case next week. He is only apparently planning to call three witnesses in his defense. Jessica Rosenthal, Fox News President Trump says.
