President Trump is defending his Justice Department's decision to indict former FBI Director James Comey. Fox's Jackie Heinrich reports from the White House.
Trump Supporter/Commentator
They can't get away with it.
Jackie Heinrich
President Trump says former FBI Director James Comey's indictment is not about political payback. It's a response to a precedent already set by Democrats.
Trump Supporter/Commentator
Well, break what they tried to do, right? They did it with me for four years.
Jackie Heinrich
But Democrats are already promising consequences and accusing Trump of weaponizing the Justice Department. Trump says the prosecution shouldn't be a challenge for his handpicked U.S. attorney Lindsay Halligan, even though she's never before prosecuted a case.
Trump Supporter/Commentator
It's a pretty easy case because, look, he lied.
Jackie Heinrich
But there are reports the DOJ is not so sure. The case is a slam dunk. Halligan's installment coming after Trump publicly berated Attorney General Pam Bondi for not moving faster to prosecute Comey.

Former FBI Director James Comey says he's innocent and he's posted a video saying, let's have a trial. Dangerous tropical weather brewing in the Atlantic Ocean. Umberto has intensified into a powerful Category 4 hurricane. Fox Weather meteorologist Kiana Lewis reports 145 miles per hour.

It's moving at a slower pace, meaning that it's taking all that it can advantage of the warm environment in the Atlantic. As we head into later on this weekend and into next week, we could see a Category 5 storm on our hands. The reason being the warm atmospheric conditions. The Atlantic being so warm at the moment, the cone still has this moving off towards the north. High pressure still being the dominant force in the open Atlantic and then curving back out towards sea. One area that we'll have to watch is going to be Bermuda. That's going to be the case heading into about Tuesday evening and Wednesday.
Debra Valentine
Meanwhile, a tropical storm warning associated with potential Tropical cyclone nine is issued for the central Bahamas and could potentially take aim at the southeastern United States. I'm Debra Valentine, this is Fox.
