But to get there, there'll either have to be more negotiation or perhaps Senate Republicans may have to use the so called nuclear option, you know, bypass the 60 vote rule for now. GOP leaders are making plans for a new, longer CR continuing resolution to help fund the government at current levels. Chuck Schumer says both he and Hakeem Jeffries have reached out to the White House and the president in particular, offering to meet with him anytime, any place. They want an extension to expiring Obamacare subsidies.

The Department of Homeland Security says a suspect and a U.S. marshal were shot and wounded during an immigration enforcement operation in Los Angeles.

DHS says this shooting incident unfolded during an immigration enforcement traffic stop near downtown la. Homeland Security says this target previously escaped from custody, but they did not give us a lot of details about that. Now, DHS writes the illegal alien weaponized his vehicle and began ramming the law enforcement vehicle in an attempt to flee. Fearing for the safety of the public and law enforcement, our officers followed their training and fired defensive shots. The illegal alien was shot in the elbow and one law enforcement officer was shot in the hand by a ricochet bullet. Both are in the hospital.

Federal agents were seen sweeping through Canal Street. That's an area plagued by illegal vendors. And that is where DHS tells Fox they conducted what they say was a targeted intelligence driven operation focused on criminals selling counterfeit goods. That operation netting dozens of arrests in the process. DHS says a crowd of protesters quickly gathered and became violent, obstructing ICE and assaulting law enforcement, with at least one person being arrested for assault on a federal officer. Now, New York City officials were outraged about this operation.
