Fox's David Smart reports he'll head to Malaysia, Japan, South Korea with several goals in mind. On Sunday, he'll attend the association of Southeast Asian nations, known as Asianis, working on economic deals which include mineral deals, also ceasefire deals. But perhaps the the biggest ticket item of the week that face to face meeting with his Chinese counterpart President Xi that'll take place next Thursday in Seoul, South Korea. The two will talk trade and tariffs. The Chinese Embassy in Washington. Though not happy with an investigation into whether China violated its 2019 trade agreement with the U.S. the outcome of that could open the new path for President Trump to impose tariffs on China.
Debra Valentine
The President Donald Trump has already threatened to tariff Chinese imports at 100% after China expanded export controls on rare earth minerals exported by Beijing. The government enters the fourth week of its shutdown as warnings grow about the impact of the lack of funding. Fox's Marianne Rafferty has more.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy saying many more flights could be delayed as air traffic controllers head into their first week without a paycheck. Millions also face hunger as snap benefits could go unpaid. Senator Josh Hawley arguing politics should be taken out of it as Senate Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries continues to blame Republican inaction. Now the impasse in Congress also leading to potentially no pay for our military. And the Pentagon saying they will accept an anonymous $130 million donation to help pay those troops. While generous, that only comes out to about $100 per service member and Congress may have to get involved in order to get it approved.
Debra Valentine
President Trump suggested it was a friend that made the donation, raising ethical concerns. America's listening to Fox News.

Gillian Turner
President Trump has been hinting that he may imminently take this war on drugs, which so far has played out at sea in the Pacific ashore, saying that it appears, if necessary, he is going to do this. The Pentagon right now, it turns out, is deploying a US Aircraft carrier nearby. The Secretary of War has directed the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group and the embarked carrier Air Wing to the US southcom area of responsibility. Its primary task is to detect, monitor and disrupt illicit activity that threatens the homeland. That announcement comes just a few hours after the Pentagon carried out its 10th strike on an alleged drug boat, accusing Tren de Aragua of operating the vessel and and leaving six people dead in the Caribbean.

FBI Director Cash Patel tells Fox's the Ingraham Angle those onshore awaiting drug cargo will be taken down by his agents. President Trump canceling trade talks with Canada following a controversial ad. Fox's Alexandria Hoff with the details.

This Canadian commercial uses a presidential radio address by former President Ronald Reagan as an argument against President Trump's trade policies.

America's jobs and growth are at stake.
Alexandria Hoff
In a heated post, the president called the ad fake, adding, as a result, all trade negotiations with Canada are hereby terminated. The Ronald Reagan foundation says the selective audio misrepresents the 1987 address in full. Reagan, who was a proponent of free but fair trade, was speaking in defense of short term tariffs he was set to impose on Japan. Significant tariffs are currently placed on Canadian goods not covered by the US Mexico Canada Trade Agreement.
Debra Valentine
The ad is set to be paused on Monday with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney telling reporters he hopes trade talks will resume between the US And Canada as soon as possible. I'm Deborah Valentine. This is Fox.
