US Big change in the forecast as we saw one more really hot day yesterday, 25 different record breaking highs that largely across the mid Atlantic getting up into New England a little bit there, but highs hitting 100 degrees. Boy, it's been days and days of that. Finally some big showers yesterday evening and you're starting to see some of these temperatures drop. Big change for what we've seen the last couple of days where even overnight temperatures were only falling down in the mid eight, maybe closer to 90 degrees. A lot of shower activity across the eastern half of the United States. We're really trading in heat for rain not just today but much of the week ahead.

The president's remarks come as indirect talks between the United States and Iran move forward.
