Officials say the two were in their car when it was swept into a ravine in nearby Nash County. They got themselves onto the roof of the vehicle, but rushing water swept them both away. Daily rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected for the area through the weekend, with some areas potentially getting double digit rainfall totals.
