New album if you've missed going to an actual store in the middle of the night to get the new, much hyped book or album as soon as it went on sale, Target has a throwback event for you. The chain says it will open about 500 select stores at midnight local time on October 3rd to sell copies of Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl album. Three exclusive CD editions of Showgirl will be available as part of its longtime partnership with Swift. Those versions will also be up for the normal presale on Target's website. Target says the stores won't close, then reopen for the midnight sale. Participating stores will instead stay open past normal hours, then presumably make the albums available at midnight. Tanya J.
