A poll of nearly 1200 US voters conducted by the Associated Press Newark center for Public affairs finding 37% approve of President Trump's handling of the economy, down slightly from August when 43% approved. The economy, which was a strength for the president in his first term, now a weak issue for him among independents with only 2 in 10 approving of his handling. But 55% of those polled approve of how the president is handling border security. 46% on crime and 43% on immigration.
