A chance for peace. I'm Paul Stevens, FOX News. We're seeing major progress in the White House's Gaza peace proposal as Hamas agrees now to release all Israeli hostages. The terror group has yet though to agree to surrender weapons and control of Gaza, but President Trump is urging Israel to pause its airstrikes.

Fox's Rich Edson Israel and Hamas have signaled they are ready to work with the White House on this peace plan. But there are still major sticking points the two sides need to work out before this war is over.
Donald Trump
We'll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down in concrete. Very importantly, I look forward to having the hostages come home to their parents and having some of the hostages, unfortunately, you know the condition they're in, come home likewise to their parents.
Rich Edson
Trump is also pushing Israel to halt bombing Gaza. Statements from Hamas and Israel suggest that significant issues remain. While Hamas says it's willing to release the hostages and transition Gaza's government to other Palestinians said nothing about Israel's demand to disarm.
Paul Stevens
Meantime, it's unclear if Israel would accept any changes to that White House plan. Democrats meantime, saying any celebration is premature. Republicans say the showdown is over. Democrats pushing health care for undocumented migrants. This they say causing the government shutdown. Democrats denied saying they only want to extend subsidies from Obamacare to legal residents. Tennessee GOP Republican Congressman Tim Burchett on fox's Saturday in America.
Tim Burchett
Republicans voted to keep government open and The Democrats want $1.5 trillion in there to basically fund health care for illegals. And it's in the bill.
Paul Stevens
This coming. As lawmakers left Washington for the weekend. No closer to reaching a deal to fund the government, the White House has signaled possible thousands of federal layoffs. America's listening to FOX News.

It'S years of prison time for Sean Diddy Combs.
Chanley Painter
Hip hop mogul Sean Diddy Combs has been sentenced to just over four years in federal prison for transporting people across state lines to engage in drug fueled sexual encounters. The 55 year old has already served a year behind bars so he could be released in about three. A jury convicted Combs back in July. He was also fined half million and apologized in court calling his actions disgusting and shameful.

And that's Fox's Chanley Painter, U.S. supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's would be assassin sentenced to eight years in prison, far less than the 30 years prosecutors asked for when Nicholas Roski pleaded guilty.
Deborah Boardman
U.S. district Judge Deborah Boardman, a 2021 Biden appointee, says she considered a number of factors before handing down the sentence. While she called the plot to kill Kavanaugh reprehensible, Boardman also says Nicholas Roski has shown remorse and and taken responsibility for her actions, court filings show. On June 7, 2022, Rosky, who is transgender and now goes by the name of Sophie, traveled from Los Angeles to Kavanaugh's home in Montgomery County, Maryland. But when she got to Kavanaugh's house, she saw his protective detail guarding the property. Roske then called 911 and turned herself in. Prosecutors say Roske only surrendered after seeing law enforcement, adding that she had spent months planning an assassination attack on multiple sitting justices. Rosky's defense argue Roske stopped her plans after getting a phone call from her sister.
