Rounding up the thieves, I'm Kathleen Maloney, Fox News. French authorities have suspects in connection with the brazen heist at the Louvre in Paris last weekend.

Two of the potentially four suspects are in custody. And the race is still on to find these stolen French crown jewels before it's too late, before they're destroyed and melted down. Now the Paris prosecutor's office said investigators made the arrest last night, adding that one of the men taken into custody was prepared to leave the country. From Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport. La Parisian newspaper says the two men are in their 30s and originally from a suburb north of Paris. Of course, this all started last Sunday just after the Louvre museum had opened. The suspects used a basket lift to gain access to the Apollo Gallery where they cut through a window with power tools.

President Trump's visit Chinese President Xi Jinping later this week looms large over his first trip to the Far east since returning to the White House. For days. Here on the ground of Malaysia, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen and Trump's top trade rep, Jameson Greer have been meeting with Chinese officials and the treasury secretary announcing that a new framework agreement has been reached with China over rare earth minerals that will void Trump's 100% tariffs against China. The US and China say a trade deal is drawing closer. President Trump expected to meet with Chinese President Xi during his trip to Asia as trade deals are at the forefront of his tour. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen joins NBC's Meet the Press after meeting with his Chinese counterparts and putting together pieces of a deal that the leaders will discuss.

The expected meeting with the Chinese president comes after Beijing announced stronger restrictions on rare earth products, to which the US threatened 100% tariffs. The international association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union voting to reject Boeing's latest contract offer. The workers have been on strike for nearly three months. Gas prices continue to trend downward this month, according to industry analyst Toby Lundberg, publisher of the Lundberg Survey. She says this week's average cost for regular gas is lower than a year ago.

We have a bigger drop in the pump price now. Gasoline prices just dropped 11 cents in the past two weeks and this price is 8 cents lower than it was one year ago. The new price is just under $3.12.

Lundberg says oil prices fell substantially this month following the announcement of the Israel Hamas peace. She predicts any future price cuts will be much smaller. Hurricane Melissa has strengthened to a major category four storm, threatening catastrophic flooding in the northern Caribbean. The U.S. national Hurricane center warning it could intensify to category five by tonight. Melissa is expected to reach Jamaica's southern coast late Monday or early Tuesday. Residents are being urged to seek shelter. The storm has already caused deaths in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. I'm Kathleen Maloney.
