There is now a race to fully fund DHS before Valentine's Day. The bill includes a temporary patch for DHS that gives lawmakers time to impose reforms on ice. However, the time frame is tough. Otherwise, DHS lacks money. Again, Democrats insist on no masks and no roving patrols otherwise they will block funding for dhs. But Republicans believe that Democrats want to withhold money in order to undercut dhs. Republicans are skeptical about the push for warrants.

The push for changes to DHS comes after the shooting death of anti ICE protester Alex Preddy in Minneapolis. New evidence emerging in the search for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today show co host Savannah Guthrie. Fox's Jonathan Hunt is in Tucson, Arizona.

We have seen video of blood drops and blood spatter across the entryway to Nancy Guthrie's home. The sheriff today would not confirm that they found blood. He did merely confirm that they found, as he put it, DNA. And he also said so far that they only have one match for that DNA, and that is Nancy Guthrie herself. And then we have the question of these purported ransom notes. One of them was sent to our colleagues at tmz. Several local media outlets here are also reporting receiving these alleged ransom notes. They include, apparently details that the writer says are about what Nancy Guthrie was wearing, for instance, on the night that she was abducted. That sort of detail has not been made public.

Accused Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson was back in court Tuesday as his defense team questions whether prosecutors should be allowed to remain on the case. Fox's Claudia Cowan reports from Provo, Utah.
E
Chad Grunander, the senior prosecutor on the case, said that the fact that his 18 year old daughter was at the event back in September where Charlie Kirk was murdered had no bearing on the decision by the Utah county attorney's office to seek the death penalty. But the defense maintains Grunander's family connection creates an emotional bias that not only taints him, but but his whole office. And they all need to go to ensure Robinson receives a fair trial. Charlie Kirk's widow, Erica, in a new filing, is urging the court to speed things up and to keep these hearings fully transparent.
