Changes in Minnesota. I'm Ted Lindner. Fox News Florida's Tom Holman announcing on Wednesday 700 federal officers will be leaving Minnesota, but immigration operations will continue. Fox's Jackie Heinrich with more it is.

A mix of ICE and CBP agents immediately leaving the Twin Cities region, Tom Homan said after he reached an agreement with state and local officials to have county jails notify ICE of criminal aliens before they are released back onto the streets so federal immigration officers can get them while they are still being held in custody and not have to go out into the communities to find them. Homan says this is smart law enforcement, not less law enforcement, and he emphasized that this agreement does not force local authorities to do any federal immigration enforcement themselves or even keep aliens a single minute past their scheduled release.

Federal agents in Minneapolis have met stiff resistance from protesters who opposed the operation after agents fatally shot two U.S. citizens in separate incidents last month. There's also ongoing lawsuits accusing immigration agents of violating civil rights. NBC Today calls Savannah Guthrie and her siblings posting a video to Instagram calling for her missing mother's return. Pima county sheriff's deputies investigating a possible kidnapping. Fox's Jonathan Hunt's in Tucson, Arizona, with.

More Savannah Guthrie saying, we are aware of the media reports about a ransom note, but then she's appeared to directly address a potential kidnapper, saying, we are ready to talk but we need to know with absolute certainty that she, meaning Nancy Guthrie, is alive. And then she said and that you have her. So that is a direct request to any kidnapper or kidnappers out there that they want to see proof of life.

Talks are now set for Friday between the U.S. and Iran.
E
One thing of note is that just this morning Secretary Rubio is signaling that the talks for Friday are back on track. But he is pushing back on some of the more erratic demands that the Iranians have been making the last 24 hours. One thing they proposed yesterday. They said when they sit down with the US On Friday, they only want to talk about the nuclear issue. Rubio says that's probably not going to work overnight. Iran's foreign minister told an Iranian news outlet, quote, planning for the negotiations has been made for the coming days. Consultations to determine the venue for the talks are currently underway. While info will be shared as soon as it is finalized in late word.

Iranian and US Government sources say the location has now been moved from Turkey to Oman. The man who tried to assassinate President Trump on his Florida golf course has been sentenced to life in prison, the sentence handed down by Judge Aileen Cannon, who had been previously called the suspect not a good man. The defendant's attorney, Martin Roth, says they'll appeal. I think the judge may have mistakenly applied the federal crime of terrorism enhancement and that will be probably the leading issue on appeal. I will be filing a notice of appeal in this case. Prosecutors said Ruth camped outside of the president's golf course in September 2024. A Secret Service agent testified he spotted the suspect. The man aimed his rifle at the agent who opened fire, causing him to drop his weapon and run away without firing a shot. There's been a big push to save the iguanas in Florida during a stretch of cold weather in the Sunshine State. Of course, in cold temperatures, iguanas can freeze and fall out of trees and sometimes die if they're not quickly saved. Florida Fish and Wildlife allowing people to collect iguanas that they find that were stunned and struggling. More than 5,000 of these reptiles were gathered up and and taken to five different rehabilitation sites across Florida for care. Long term forecasts has the Sunshine State warming up and getting back to normal over the next few weeks. I'm Ted Lindner. This is FOX News.
