It's party time in the City of angels. I'm Chris DiMaio, Fox News. The Los Angeles Dodgers are World Series champions after defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 54 at 11 innings. For LA, it's back to back titles. Nine innings just wasn't enough to settle the Fall Classic.
Greg Thompson
Toronto was just two outs away from its first title since 1993, leading by a run in the top of the ninth when Miguel Rojas shocked both the US and Canada, tying things up with a solo homer, sending us to extra innings. After neither team scored in the 10th, up came Dodgers catcher Will Smith in the top of the 11th.

The fight over the government shutdown is reaching a breaking point. Millions of Americans lost access to food benefits this weekend as the shutdown enters its second month. On Friday, two federal judges temporarily blocked the Trump administration's attempt to freeze snap payments. But delays still leave many families struggling to buy groceries. The shutdown is also leaving many federal workers unpaid and air travel disrupted.
