Although important federal government data for the past couple of months have yet to be released, available public and private sector data suggests that the outlook for employment and inflation has not changed as much since our meeting in October.

The cut brings the federal funds rate to a range of 3.5 to 3.75% following the same amount cut in September and October, which were the first cuts of the year. The decision comes as inflation remains above the Fed's target and concerns of a softening labor market. Prosecutors in Massachusetts have rested their case against Brian Walsh. He's accused of killing his wife Ana on New year's Eve in 2022 and then dismembering her remains, thrown them in area dumpsters. Before the trial, Walsh pleaded guilty to illegally disposing of his wife's body and misleading police after her death. But the jury doesn't know that he maintains he did not kill her. And there was no winner in the Wednesday night Powerball jackpot drawing that was worth $930 million, one of the 10 biggest jackpots in the game's history. Numbers drawn 10, 16, 29, 33, 69 and a Powerball of 22. No winner means the jackpot jumps to at least $1 billion for Saturday night. America's listening to Fox News.
