During a phone call with interim Venezuelan President Delsey Rodriguez, President Trump announced airspace in the country will be opened as soon as today, allowing Americans to visit.

During a Cabinet meeting, the president instructed Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and military leaders to open up airspace by the end of the day. Also during that Cabinet meeting, President Trump saying he personally asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop firing on Ukraine's capital and other cities for one week because of extreme cold. And he says the Russian leader agreed. There's been no confirmation from Moscow, but Ukraine's president posting this was discussed during recent trilateral negotiations in the UAE and that Ukraine expects the agreements to be implemented. Federal regulators are investigating after a robo taxi hit a child in California.

It happened last Friday near an elementary school in Santa Monica during morning drop off hours. Waymo tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration a child ran into the street from behind A double parked suv, was hit by the robo taxi, got up and walked to the sidewalk with minor injuries. The company says the car detected the child immediately and braked from 17 miles an hour to under six before impact. It says its computer modeling showed even a fully attentive human driver would have hit the child at 14 miles an hour. The NHTCA says it'll investigate whether the robo taxi exercised appropriate caution in a school zone. There are two federal investigations into Waymo's illegally passing school buses in Atlanta and Austin.
