A deadline approaches. I'm Carmen Roberts, FOX News. The family of Nancy Guthrie is up against a Monday deadline put forth in a ransom note. Last night, her daughter, NBC host Savannah Guthrie, posted another video plea that kidnappers release her.

This is very valuable to us and.
C
We will pay, the FBI tells the Associated Press. When Savannah says in that video, quote, we received your message, she is referencing a second alleged ransom note sent via email to local TV news station Kold on Friday. Kold says that email, which they have not released to the public, did not contain proof of life of Nancy Guthrie, something the family asked for in two videos they released earlier this week.

Fox's Alicia Acuna in Tucson, Arizona. An initial ransom Note reportedly demanded $6 million in Bitcoin. The coldest winter so far invading the Northeast with life threatening wind chills plunging between 10 to 30 below. And it's not just the Northeast. The bitter cold is stretching to the mid Atlantic.
B
It is freezing outside, but I'd like to be glass half full and talk about warmth that ultimately will be working its way in. Not a real warmth, but warmth compared to what we're seeing out there this morning. Early morning temperatures, a lot of folks down at freezing or below freezing. The coldest air across the country continues to be the Northeast feels like temperature is driven by wind. -12 in New York City, -16 up in Boston. The i95 corridor has been frigid and that's where the winds are still the strongest, gusting at times 30 to 40 miles an hour. We've been seeing that all morning long. Those winds were stronger yesterday. They're going to continue to back off a little bit today.

Fox meteorologist Adam Klotz. And even with a bitter cold, football fans say that won't keep them from enjoying the game. Although they may stay inside. There's lots to watch. Not just the New England Patriots taking on the Seattle Seahawks, but pre game entertainment and the controversial halftime show with bad Bunny. America's listening to FOX News.

Congress has until Friday to pass a spending bill for Homeland Security. But lawmakers are fiercely split over ICE crackdowns.
E
There's a lot of skepticism that the sides can sidestep another partial shutdown.
F
We need to get this done and get this done immediately. The deadline is February 13th.
E
Jeffries won't accept a temporary bill to prevent a shutdown. Democrats believe the public supports them. Democrats want no masks for ICE and no roving patrols. But the calendar is the biggest enemy. DHS money expires just after midnight Eastern on Valentine's Day. ICE is funded through 2029, thanks to the one big beautiful bill. But a shutdown means TSA isn't paid again. It also interrupts FEMA recovery efforts and upends the Coast Guard on Capitol Hill. Chad Pergram, FOX News American skier Lindsey.

Vonn's hopes for a comeback at the Winter Olympics ends in a cruel crash in her downhill run in Cortina, Italy.
F
Lindsey Vonn was airlifted off the course in Italy this morning in what was described as a tragic and gut wrenching fall. The crash happening just 13 to 14 seconds into her downhill run when Vaughn clipped the fourth gate with her right arm, knocking her off balance in the air on the first jump, forcing all her weight to shift back on her skis and crashed into the snow. Von had been vying to compete despite suff many thought would be a major setback less than two weeks ago when she ruptured her ACL in a different crash during her final competition before the Olympics. But Vaughn was determined to race in her fifth and final Olympics.
