Presidential Statement
Greenhouse Gas Regulations
Presidential spokesperson Caroline Levitt confirms a planned repeal of an Obama-era finding that classified greenhouse gases as a public health danger—the legal foundation for much of U.S. climate regulation since 2009.
Ainsley Earhart describes this as the “largest deregulatory action in American history," projected to save $1.3 trillion in regulatory costs for Americans.
Legal challenges to the repeal are anticipated.
ICE and CBP leaders testified before Congress. Democrats, citing recent shooting deaths in Minneapolis, demanded an apology and accused immigration enforcement of eroding Americans’ rights.
Republicans attributed security improvements to border action, decrying the "Biden border crisis."
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons delivered a statement of resolve:
Democrats threaten to withhold DHS funding unless immigration reforms are addressed.
The episode carries a sense of urgency and gravity, characteristic of breaking news—its tone is direct, factual, and rapid-fire, matching the network’s hard news approach.
