Some restaurant gift cards are being recalled by Costco after the company that issued the card shut down.

The cards are a third party product from Synergy World, which has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The multi merchant restaurant card program had partnered with local restaurants across Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, operating a network of more than 100 restaurants. Its shutting down means its cards are unusable. Costco, however, is accepting returns of the unusable cards and refunding the remaining balance for customers who bought the cards between October 27, 2025 and this January 26.
