This is a FOX News alert. Multiple deaths confirmed in a search for missing skiers. I'm Lisa Brady, a California sheriff just making the announcement that eight skiers have been found dead after a backcountry avalanche yesterday, their bodies not yet recovered. One other skier remains missing.

That avalanche in the mountains near Lake Tahoe, now the deadliest in the US in more than four decades. On day 18 of the search for Nancy Guthrie. The FBI now using genetic genealogy on DNA found in Guthrie's home, hoping to generate new leads after there was no match found in federal databases. Each side still blaming the other for the homeland Security funding shutdown that began over the weekend. As Democrats keep pushing for changes in immigration enforcement.

The super bowl champions are for sale. The estate of late team owner Paul Allen, confirming it, has started the process of selling the Seattle Seahawks in accordance with Allen's wishes to eventually sell and direct proceeds to philanthropy. His sister, Jody, has owned the Seahawks and the NBA's Trailblazers since Allen died in 2018. The estate already agreed to sell the Trailblazers to an investment group led by the Carolina Hurricane's owner. Some restaurant gift cards are being recalled by Costco after the company that issued the card shut down.

The cards are a third party product from Synergy World, which has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The multi merchant restaurant card program had partnered with local restaurants across Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas, operating a network of more than 100 restaurants. Its shutting down means its cards are unusable. Costco, however, is accepting returns of the unusable cards and refunding the remaining balance for customers who bought the cards between October 27, 2025 and this January 26.
