The Senate's working on a plan. I'm Carmen Roberts, FOX News. The Senate will take a test vote sometime this evening to break a filibuster on the GOP spending plan to fund the government for two and a half more months. Meantime, President Trump continues to blast Democrats for not reopening the government.

The new Republican plan to reopen the government involves funding through January and the Departments of Veterans affairs and Agriculture through September. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's plan to reopen the government involves funding Obamacare subsidies for another year. The Senate's top Republican says this is not a compromise. And Transportation Secretary Duffy says it could reach 20%, meaning one out of every five flights would be canceled if the government shutdown persists. A lot of developments here on the ground amid phase one in this ceasefire agreement. Also today, a funeral was held for American citizen Itai Hen, a staff sergeant in the IDF who was killed on the morning of October 7th while defending the community of Nahaloz along the Gaza border. At that funeral, his father spoke and a video message from President Trump's Middle east envoy, Steve Witkoff, aired. Now we did join the Israeli military just last week into the Gaza Strip to go to a community called Sajair, where much of the intense fighting took place. This is where Itay's body was recovered.
