A Franklin County, Ohio jury finds a police officer not guilty of murder in the 2023 shooting death of a 21 year old pregnant black woman who was suspected of stealing alcohol from a grocery store. The jury deliberated over two days in the case of Connor Grubb, who was charged in the fatal shooting of Takiah Young, who was about six months pregnant. Grubb had positioned himself in front of her vehicle to provide backup as she argued with his fellow officer. She refused to exit the vehicle and instead rolled her car toward Grubb who fired a single bullet through her windshield, hitting her.

And repeatedly he insisted that he be fed while in jail. He said, and I quote, if you want to trial me, you got to feed me. So he went off for a little while. He is now in the custody of U.S. marshals. The criminal complaint against Reed reads that on Monday night he went to a gas station, bought some gas, put it in a plastic bottle. Twenty minutes later he was on the Chicago's L train. The victim had no connection to him. He dumped gasoline on her head. She tried to run away. Reed pursued her with a bottle already on fire and he lit the gasoline.
